The Modern Hotel

This new boutique hotel, designed by famed hotelier Ian Schrager, involved the renovation and conversion of the former Yacht Harbor Tower into a 353-room luxury hotel for Marriott. Cumming was hired by the project’s Owners midway through construction to serve as development manager. In this role, Cumming directed the design and construction teams, managed the EDITION brand representatives, managed the Owner’s legal team — interfacing with the EDITION hotel operations group — and managed the Owner’s development forecasting.
