Executive Vice President, Cost Management

Derek Hutchison is Cumming’s Executive Vice President over the firm’s worldwide cost management practice. Leveraging his experience as a UK trained Quantity Surveyor, Derek provides leadership in the areas of Cost Management and Estimating, Cost Engineering, Economic Forecasting, Value Management, and Project Controls. He has successfully managed hundreds of Hospitality and Gaming projects across the Americas, Europe and the Middle East.

Derek holds a Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying from Glasgow Caledonian University (UK), and is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering, and is an active member of the American Resort Development Association’s Design & Construction Committee.
