Mission Critical

Virtually every business today — whether it is a public, private, for-profit, or non-profit entity — relies on a set of core services in order to carry out its mission. These services include power to run their plants, facilities, and equipment, as well as systems to store and protect the data they generate. Although some businesses place a premium on these basic necessities, the need for safe, secure, and uninterrupted service is universal.

Since Cumming was founded nearly 20 years ago, we have worked hard to remain at the forefront of technological innovation in order to effectively lead our clients in the development of their mission critical projects. Whether we’re involved with a casino project which could lose millions of dollars in the event of a power outage, a hospital that incorporates intricate M/E/P systems to continuously sustain all critical systems and equipment and ensure the safety of its patients, or a stand-alone data center that works to keep a company’s data safe and accessible, we have the internal expertise to support our clients.

Cumming serves as the conductor on virtually every mission critical project with which we are involved. In this role, we act as the bridge and overall expert, providing advice to our clients from the early planning stage of their project through construction close-out. For example, when it comes to data centers it’s not about building a box, but rather becoming one with the client to ensure their needs, vision, and resources are aligned. We help assess options, and recommend and manage the delivery of the final selection. Cumming emphasizes consistency, predictability and repeatability in its approach to managing these typically large, complex, and highly specialized facilities.
